Covid-19 Travel Guidelines

INDIAN STATE WISE TRAVEL REGULATIONS

IMPORTANT – Adhere to Domestic Travel Guidelines


Some countries have released there own guidelines for Indian travellers. Please go through these guidelines carefully before planning your travel, for a hassle free experience.

Guidelines for Travel:

  1. STEP-1 – Health Declaration

Mandatory Health Status to be declared on the Aarogya Setu App by every traveller before each travel

  1. STEP-2 – State Guidelines Check

Check the quarantine guidelines of the state they are travelling to.

  1. STEP-3 – Accommodation

Only approved accommodation facilities should be utilised

  1. STEP-4 – Transfers

Approved transfers to be used by travelers; preferably private cab transfer companies

Andaman and Nicobar Islands Travel Guidelines

Health Screening:

  1. If you’re double-vaccinated and it has been 15 days since your second dose:
    You don’t need an RTPCR test. Carry COWIN certificate with you. Carry ID proof mentioned on the COWIN certificate
  2. If you’ve gotten no doses, are partially vaccinated (one dose) or it has not been 15 days since the second dose:
    Carry RTPCR report from within 48 hrs. before starting the journey from an ICMR-approved lab You’ll undergo compulsory & free RTPCR test in Port Blair on arrival A single day quarantine in Port Blair, until test results arrive, is mandatory
  3. RTPCR Negative test report within 48 hours of journey will continue to be mandatory. Any passenger not carrying RTPCR negative report will be sent back to origin on the same day.
  4. All passengers shall be required to undergo mandatory home or institutional quarantine till result of their on arrival test is released
  5. Mandatory Free RTPCR Test at the airport on arrival. This Report will arrive in 24 hrs. and till that time the guest needs to quarantine in the hotel (as booked by guest)
  6. If any passenger tests positive will be sent for institutional quarantine for further treatment.

 

Quarantine:

  1. Travellers from other states are allowed to travel in Andaman
  2. If any passenger tests positive will be sent for institutional quarantine for further treatment. Hotels will make necessary arrangement to designate a part of their rooms for institutional isolation for this purpose.

 

Passenger Obligation:

  • Passenger obligation:
  • COVID-19 Negative Certificate is mandatory while travelling. 
  • All incoming passengers arriving at VSI Airport from 26th December,2020 onwards, shall have to mandatorily carry RT-PCR negative test report issued from a ICMR recognized lab, subject to condition that the RT-PCR test should have been taken within 48 hours prior to commencement of journey.
  • All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App.
  • Passenger is required to undergo COVID-19 Test at the Airport as directed by the Health Authorities
  • Random Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) to be conducted on the incoming passengers at the Airport itself with effect from 07/04/2021.
New Delhi Travel Guidelines

Health Screening:

  1. In view of the surge in number of COVID-19 cases, random sample collection will be done for passengers arriving from states where there has been a spurt in number for COVID-19 cases. Passengers will be allowed to exit after sample collection.
  2. Thermal screening will be done for all passengers upon arrival.
  3. If you are travelling on a connecting flight and not leaving the airport in transit station then please refer to the detailed guidelines of the respective final destination arrival state

 

Quarantine:

Passengers who are found positive will be quarantined at home or CCC/CHC/Hospital for 10 days.

Domestic Passengers:

All passengers must download Aarogya Setu App.

Airport/State Obligation:

Thermal screening will be done for all passengers upon arrival.

Maharashtra Travel Guidelines

Health Screening:

  1. Thermal screening shall be done for all passengers.
  2. It is mandatory for passengers arriving in Maharashtra to carry a COVID-19 negative report from an ICMR approved lab not earlier than 72 hours of arrival or be in possession of a vaccination certificate (two doses). RT-PCR timeline starts from the swab collection time.

 

Quarantine:

  1. When arriving from a domestic city/state: No quarantine or hand stamping for asymptomatic passengers.
  2. All passengers must download the Aarogya Setu app.
  3. All domestic travelers must carry an RT-PCR negative report of a test done within 48 hours of arrival.
  4. Currently NO RTPCR Being done at the Mumbai airport.
  5. Travellers from other states are allowed to travel in Maharshtra
  6. RT-PCR test required for traveling from others States /Uts taken from an ICMR approved laboratory not earlier than 72 hours to the scheduled departure.
  7. Passengers will be exempted from carrying RT-PCR Test Report on showing Final Vaccination Certificate (both dozes) issued no less than 15 days prior to date of travel.

 

Passenger Obligation:

  1. COVID-19 Negative Certificate is mandatory while travelling.
  2. All domestic passengers travelling from Airports in NCR of Delhi, States of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Goa shall carry RT-PCR negative test report with them before boarding and show it to the teams at arrival airport. The Airport Authority of India requested to check for the report before allowing the passengers to board the flight.
  3. The RT-PCR sample collection should have been done with 72 hours of scheduled time of landing at Airport in Maharashtra.
  4. Passengers NOT having the RT-PCR test reports fulfilling conditions 1 & 2 shall compulsorily undergo RT-PCR test at the concerned Airport, at their own cost. The Airport shall arrange the testing centres & charge the passengers directly for testing.
  5. Only after undertaking the test, the passengers will be allowed to go home by Airport Operator. The Contact Information and address shall be collected from all passengers who undergo tests at Airport by Airport operator to facilitate contact, incase the test reports comes positive.
  6. Passengers whose report comes positive will be contacted and treated as per existing protocol.
  7. The concerned Municipal Commissioners will be the Nodal Officers for the same and ensure that the above instructions are followed strictly.
Goa Travel Guidelines

Health Screening:

  1. Fully vaccinated: Can travel without RT-PCR Negative Report. However, there must be a gap of atleast 15 days between 2nd vaccination dose and date of entry at the destination
  2. Partially vaccinated: Can travel with Partial Vaccinated Certificate + RT-PCR Negative Report of test done under 72 hrs. of travel to the destination
  3. Not vaccinated: Can travel with RT-PCR Negative Report of test done under 72 hrs. of travel to the destination + Mandatory Rapid Antigen Test [RAT] happening on the State Borders and Goa Airport.

 

Quarantine:

  1. Mandatory for all passengers arriving into Goa from other States/UT to be in possession of RT-PCR/TrueNAT/CBNAAT/Rapid Antigen Test negative report from ICMR accredited labs done within last 72hrs except for fully vaccinated and have completed 14 days from receipt of the 2nd dose. RT-PCR/TrueNAT/CBNAAT/Rapid Antigen Test timeline starts from the swab collection time. Traveler entering for medical reason or delivering essential services are exempted
  2. Travellers from other states are allowed to travel in Goa
  3. COVID Test not required.
  4. No need of Quarantine
  5. International Passengers:
  6. Thermal Screening upon arrival is carried out by APHO and passengers shall submit self-declaration form.
  7. Rapid Test Mandatory for all arriving passengers. If report comes positive, passenger will be sent to COVID Care Centre as per State Govt. guidelines.
  8. If the test report is negative, passengers are allowed to proceed for 14 days of Home Quarantine.

 

Passenger Obligation:

  1. COVID-19 Negative Certificate is not mandatory while travelling.

Uttarakhand Travel Guidelines

Health Screening:

  1. No Curfew now
  2. Tourists allowed
  3. Covid -ve report required (tested 72 hrs. prior). All entrants who present the Covid -ve certificate at entry point are expemted from testing irrespective of their state of origin.
  4. If guest has got both the vaccination doses ( Both Dose , Minimum 15 Days Ago ) then with certificate they can travel without RT-PCR test
  5. Mandatory Epass to be filled before traveling to Uttarakhand: http://smartcitydehradun.uk.gov.in
  6. Curfew: till 20 Jul ’21
  7. It is mandatory for passengers to carry RT-PCR/TrueNAT/CBNAAT/RAT negative report from ICMR accredited labs done within last 72hrs.

  9. Defense Personnel and their families shall be exempted from pre-departure RTPCR/TrueNAT/CBNAAT/RAT requiremen

 

Quarantine:

  1. Travellers from other states are allowed to travel in Uttarakhand
  2. Persons travelling from the states namely; Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab. Karnataka. Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh. Delhi and Rajasthan by road, air and train to Uttarakhand are advised to carry negative RT-PCR test report (test done 72 hours prior to the time of arrival to Uttarakhand state).
  3. Persons coming from above mentioned states as well as persons residing in Uttarakhand shall strictly adhere to the norms of safety and social distancing as per the guidelines of MHA. MoHFW and State Government. Violation of norms shall be liable to be proceeded under the relevant provision of DM Act 2005, Epidemics Act 1897 and sections of IPC.
  4. Persons above 65 years of age, persons with co-morbidities, pregnant women and children below the age of 10 years (vulnerable section of the people) are advised to travel only in unavoidable circumstances.
  5. District administration shall make arrangement for random COVID-19 testing/ checking at airport, railway station and at all border check posts. If any inbound person found positive, the currently prevailing SOPs shall be followed for further care.
  6. However, there shall be no restriction on “Inter-State and Intra-State movement of essential services and goods” in the state.

 

Passenger Obligation:

  2. All passengers travelling to Uttarakhand need to register on state website.

Ladakh Travel Guidelines

Health Screening:

  1. Covid -ve report required (tested 96 hrs. prior). All entrants who present the Covid -ve certificate at entry point are expemted from testing irrespective of their state of origin. RAT is not valid.
  2. In Airport Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) will be conducted on all the incoming passengers/ Tourist
  3. Fully Vaccinated: Passengers traveling to Ladakh have taken both doses and completed 15 days from the receipt of the 2nd dose shall be exempted and now travel to Ladakh without any RT-PCR Test
  4. Not vaccinated/ Single doses : Can travel with an RT-PCR Test conducted under 96 hrs to travel to the destination

 

Quarantine:

  1. Travellers from other states are allowed to travel in Ladakh

Dubai Travel Guidelines

Can Indian travel to the UAE?

  • YES

 

RTPCR Test & Vaccination

  • 48 Hrs Prior with QR Code
  • Only fully vaccinated passengers can travel

 

Health Screening:

  1. Non vaccinated travelers are not permitted
  2. Fully vaccinated with vaccines approved by the Ministry of Public Health and completing a period of 14 days after the last dose.
  3. Must have a certificate confirming negative PCR test completed during the 48 hours from the time of arrival
  4. Electronic registration on the Ehteraz platform (www.ehteraz.gov.qa) to ministry of Public Health before travelling
  5. Passengers who have not received both doses of the vaccine 14 days prior to arrival will NOT be allowed to enter

 

Quarantine:

  1. 14 Days Quarantine if tested positive on arrival
  2.  

Operating Status:

  1. As per the latest update received dated 06th May 2021 – all travellers departing from India are suspended for tourism until 31st May – unless they stay for 14 days in some other country before arriving into Dubai.

 

Mandatory Quarantine & Testing Rules

For Qatar:

  • All passengers (including those from GCC countries) must carry a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate taken no more than 48 hours before departure.
  • Indian passengers must take another COVID-19 PCR test on arrival at the airport.
  • If you are an expatriate resident of the UAE or a tourist to the UAE, you must present a negative result of a PCR test at the departure airport. If the test result is positive, you must stay in isolation and follow the instructions of Dubai Health Authority.

 

For Abu Dhabi:

  • Passengers must carry a COVID-19 PCR test report, with the test conducted not more than 96 hours before flight departure.
  • They must take another COVID-19 PCR test on arrival at the airport and another on day 8 of quarantine.
  • Passengers flying from the UK must get the COVID-19 PCR test done not more than 72 hours before departure.
  • Passengers who are travelling from countries exempted from quarantine (this list does not include India) should undergo a COVID-19 PCR test on day 6 and day 12 of arrival.
  • Children under the age of 12 and passengers with disabilities are exempted from the COVID-19 PCR tests.
UAE Travel Guidelines

Can Indian travel to the UAE?

  • YES

 

RTPCR Test & Vaccination

  • 48 Hrs Prior with QR Code
  • Only fully vaccinated passengers can travel

 

Health Screening:

  1. 72hrs prior to departure from India 48 hrs prior to departure from Dubai RT PCR test cost is approximately AED 60-80 per person Child under age of 1 no test needed
  2. Effective 23 June 2021 Dubai Supreme Committee of Crisis And Disaster Management has introduced a new protocol
  3. Residents should have received 2 doses of a Vaccine approved by UAE Authority
  4. Passengers must have received a negative test result for a PCT Test taken within 48 hours before departure. UAE citizens are exempted
  5. Only QR Coded PCR Test result Certificates are accepted
  6. All passengers should take a Rapid PCR Test 4 hours prior to Departure
  7. All passenger must undergo a PCR Test on Arrival at Dubai Airport
  8. Passengers should undergo Institutionalized Quarantine until they receive their PCR Test results , which is expected within 24 hours. UAE citizens and
  9. Diplomats are exempted.

 

Quarantine:

  1. 14 Days Quarantine if tested positive on arrival

 

Passenger Obligation:

  1. Mandatory RT-PCR nega’ve report taken before departure for DUBAI its 48 Hrs., for Sharjah its 72hrs & 96Hrs for ABU DHABI Children under 12 years exempted from test. The cer’ficate issued shall be duly signed and stamped by relevant authorized lab and must be in English or Arabic, must have QR code on original report. Transi’ng Dubai RT-PCR with 72hr prior departure is accepted, further countries’ rule would apply.
  2. 2nd RT-PCR test to be done upon arrival
  3. UAE nationals are exempt from the above, however they will be required to take a PCR test on arrival at DXB.
  4. All passengers are required to
    • Fill in the Declaration Form before arriving at DXB
    • Download the COVID – 19 DXB smart App before departure
    • Print Negative COVID- 19 Certicate and PCR test no later than 96 hours before departure. Children under 12 and passengers with moderate to severe disabilities are exempt from PCR.
    • All Negative Covid-19 Certicate must be signed and stamped by a healthcare provider (Digital stamp and signatures are acceptable).
    • Undergo PCR test DXB arrivals and self-isolate until results
    • Tourist with valid visa or visa on arrival are not required to get any approvals from GDRFA or ICA
    • Tourists are required to be holding a valid round-trip ticket from the country of origin
    • Tourists are required to have a hotel booking/address proof, and sufcient funds to cover daily expenses during their stay.
    • All passengers travelling must download and register on the ALHOSN app (click here).
    • Those travelling to Dubai must also download and register on the DXB Smart App.
    • It is mandatory to download and submit a Health Declaration Form here and here and a Quarantine Undertaking Form here while entering UAE.
    • The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has listed laboratories that perform the real- time RT-PCR test, the TrueNat test, and the CBNAAT test for Covid-19 across the country.

 

Operating Status:

Passengers who are travelling from countries exempted from quarantine (this list does not include India) should undergo a COVID-19 PCR test on day 6 and day 12 of arrival.

Egypt Travel Guidelines

Can Indian travel to the EGYPT?

  • YES Open For Travel

Do I need to go into quarantine when arriving to Egypt?

  • There is no requirement to quarantine when arriving to Egypt currently in place, however quarantine might be required, depending on test results.

 

Are COVID-19 tests required to travel to Egypt?

  • Health screenings will take place upon arrival to Egypt, and all arrivals are required to fill in a health declaration.
  • From August 15th, all arrivals will be required to present a negative PCR test, no older than 72 hours.

 

Are businesses and tourism open in Egypt?

  • Most non-essential businesses, restaurant and attractions in Egypt are open, under capacity and social distancing limitations.
Russia Travel Guidelines

Quarantine Protocol

  • If any pax found positive upon arrival in Russia all passengers will be in institutional quarantine for 14 days, On arrival into Moscow all customers will be tested at the airport and if tested positive will need to follow the protocols as defined at that time.

  • Russian citizens must submit details on the United Public Services Portal
  • Self declaration form to be filled at Airport at Exit

Mandatory Quarantine & Testing Rules

  • The certificate must be in English and contain the following information:
  • 1. Name, date of birth.
  • 2. Exact date and time of collection of the biological material.
  • 3. It must be indicated that the test was carried out using the PCR method and that the result is negative.
  • 4. The certificate must contain the name and seal of the issuing organisation.
  • 5. All passengers must undergo a COVID- 19 PCR test not more than 3 days (72 hours) before arrival in Russia.
  • 6. Russian citizens can undergo COVID-19 test on the territory of Russia within 72 hours after arrival

Quarantine Protocol

  • Turkey has declared that fully vaccinated travellers from India will no longer be subjected to a mandatory 14-day quarantine rule, with effect from September 4, the Turkish Embassy in New Delhi informed on Saturday. The announcement will ease the travel restrictions for fully vaccinated passengers of 12 years of age and older, travelling from India or those who stayed in India in the last 14 days.
  • Indian travellers who are vaccinated with Covishield will also be allowed to travel to Turkey
  • For the same, a traveler must have taken the second dose (if Johnson & Johnson one dose is sufficient) at least 14 days prior to the date of travel.
  • The fully vaccinated travellers are also required to submit their negative PCR test report taken 72 hours before departure in order to be exempt from the quarantine. Non-vaccinated travelers are required to undergo mandatory quarantine for 10 days in a hotel or a location mentioned in the declaration which includes children below 12 years of age .

Visa and Immigration related updates:

  • Accepting all categories of Visa in New Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad.

Pre-Arrival

Visa Immigration: Changes in regulations, if any? eg- biometrics, e-Visa, visa on arrival, TAT , cost, due to covid, etc.

Turkey is accepting all categories of Visa applications in New Delhi & Mumbai. Only Long Stay Visa applications are accepted in Hyderabad.

Is a COVID medical certificate required. If yes, will it be required from a Govt vs. Private, ICMR approved, or is there a consulate pre-approved list of providers

Yes COVID negative certification required before arriving into Turkey

Any test required (PCR, Rapid antigen or any other) prior to travel?

Yes PCR required 72 hours prior to departure

On Arrival

Any protocols to be followed upon arrival at the destination airport? (eg: any self declaration on country/airport app, etc)

Upon arrival, the body temperature of passengers will be checked at airports.

If one tests positive, then what is the process? Cost?

For the passenger who has positive PCR test result, qualified health staff capable to respond promptly and well-equipped transfer vehicles will be ready at the airport for transportation to the health institutions. The patient will be transferred immediately to the nearest health institution and his/her treatment will start. The government will not implement any treatment without the consent of the individual. An Indian tourist arriving in Turkey and proven to be Covid-19 positive he/she needs to be treated at the hospital. Treatment costs will be covered by his/her own health insurance which is also valid in Turkey. It is advisable for Indian travellers to buy medical insurance covering COVID 19 treatment as well before arriving in Turkey.

Jordan Travel Guidelines

Can Indian travel to the Jordan?

  • NO

 

Traveling to Jordan:

  • Flights to Jordan are suspended until 18 August 2020. This does not apply to humanitarian, medevac and repatriation flights.

 

COVID 19 test :

  • All arrivals must have negative COVID-19 past, no older than 72 hours, to enter Jordan.
  • All arrivals will be required to undergo a second PCR test upon arrival.

 

Public safety:

  • Wearing a face mask is required in enclosed public spaces and on public transportation.

Eligibilty

    • 1) An e-mail received after registration via following link www.e-zdravlje.gov.rs, section “Foreigners Surveillance Registration”, as a proof of successful registration prior to arrival to Serbia.
    • 2) Filled in and personally signed statement of consent of acceptance of quarantine measures at home

 

Passenger Obligation

    • Passengers between 12 years and 18 years. They must take an antigen or RT-PCR test within 48 hours after arrival;
    • passengers traveling on business with an email confirmation from the Serbian Chamber of Commerce
    • passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate issued by Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Lebanon, Moldova (Rep.), Morocco, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tunisia, Turkey or United Arab Emirates.     • passengers with a COVID-19 recovery certificate issued in Andorra, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Luxembourg, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey or USA. The passenger must have tested positive at least 14 days and at most 6 months before arrival
    • students who are nationals of Croatia studying in Serbia
    • military personnel traveling on duty
    • Passengers arriving from India are subject to a COVID-19 RT-PCR test upon arrival and quarantine for 7 days.
    • Passengers arriving from India must complete a “Foreigners Surveillance Registration” form before departure at www.e-zdravlje.gov.rs

 

Quarantine Protocol

  • All persons, after entry into Serbia, will receive mandatory quarantine measures for 7 days in home self-isolation with mandatory testing within the first 24 hours from entry and mandatory testing on the 7th day from the start of the measures. Testing will be done by the Institute of Public Health at the expense of the person being tested.

What is the visa Requirements for Mauritius?

Only passengers cleared by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mauritius are permitted to travel and visa processing is as per mentioned category only.

Do I need to go into quarantine when arriving to Mauritius?

Anyone who is suspected in being exposed to COVID-19 will be required to quarantine for 14 days in a government facility.

Are COVID-19 tests required to travel to Mauritius?

All passengers permitted to travel to Mauritius shall undertake a Covid-19 PCR test valid for 5 days prior to departure and the test results shall be negative. Passengers will be placed in quarantine upon arrival in Mauritius.

Are businesses and tourism open in Mauritius?

Health Screening

  • 72hrs prior to departure from India 48 hrs prior to departure from Seychelles
  • Complete Health Travel Authorisation at seychelles.govtas.com.
  • RT PCR test cost is approximately SCR 2500 per person (upon departure from Seychelles)
  • Child under age of 1 no test needed

 

OPERATING STATUS

  • As per the latest update received dated 30th April 2021 – all travellers departing from India are suspended for tourism – unless they stay for 14 days in some other country before arriving into Seychelles.

 

Eligibilty

  • From India to Seychelles
  • Indian nationals or nationals of Nepal or Bhutan stranded in any country in Africa;
  • All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders and Persons of Indian Origin cardholders holding passports of any country;
  • All foreign nationals (from any country in Africa) intending to visit India for any purpose (including their dependents on appropriate category of dependent visa) except those on Tourist Visa; and
  • Seamen from countries in Africa.
  • From Seychelles to India
  • Stranded nationals/residents of Seychelles, foreign nationals destined for Africa and transiting through Seychelles, or spouses of these persons, whether accompanying or otherwise;
  • Any Indian national or national of Nepal or Bhutan destined for any country in Africa only and holding a valid visa of the destination country. It would be for the airlines concerned to ensure that there is no travel restriction for Indian/Nepalese/Bhutanese nationals to enter the destination country before issue of ticket/boarding pass to the Indian/Nepalese/Bhutanese passenger; and
  • Seamen of foreign nationalities and Seamen holding Indian passports would be allowed subject to clearance from the Ministry of Shipping. Seamen should be destined for Africa only.
  • Passengers travelling on flights from India to Seychelles should be destined for African countries only. Similarly, only passengers originating from countries in Africa should be allowed to travel on the flights from Seychelles to India.

 

Passenger Obligation

  • The authorities at Seychelles International Airport have established measures for safe movement at the airport as follows:
  • Disembarkation should be done in an orderly manner based on in flight seating arrangements.
  • Face masks should be kept on at all times.
  • A distance of at least one metre should be maintained between all persons at all times.
  • Hand sanitisers are available throughout the terminal and must be used regularly after coming in contact with commonly touched surfaces or objects.
  • When collecting luggage, visitors must ensure that a distance of at least one metre from other persons is maintained. The area around the conveyor belt has been demarcated to guide visitors.
  • Visitors may make use of trolleys that have been disinfected and located at clearly demarcated areas.
  • All visitors will undergo temperature checks and health screening.
  • Any visitor who disembarks with fever and respiratory symptoms such as cough, runny nose or shortness of breath will be isolated from other travellers and be subjected to further assessment and COVID-19 testing as indicated.
  • Visitors must use authorised and certified transportation. All visitors must observe rules for physical distancing, avoiding close physical contact such as handshakes, and wear a facemask throughout the journey to the establishment.
  • Visitors with connecting domestic flights to other islands should remain on the airport premises until departure of their flight.
  • In the case where the connecting flight is on the following day, accommodation must be booked for the overnight stay in a health certified tourism accommodation establishment.
  • Whilst still at the airport, physical distancing must be maintained at all times.
  • Transfer of visitors from the airport to the place of accommodation will be done by authorized transport and visitors must at all times follow instructions provided by the operators.
  • Visitors are not authorised to use public buses.

 

Mandatory Quarantine & Testing Rules

  • Visitors must have valid travel health insurance that covers, at minimum, COVID-19 related isolation, quarantine and clinical care.
  • Visitors, including infants and children, must have a negative COVID-19 PCR certificate from an accredited laboratory. The test must be taken within a maximum of 72 hours before departure.
  • Visitors must submit their negative PCR test results, flight and accommodation details before departure. Health Travel Authorization (HTA) is required. Visitors must submit their application for Health Travel Authorization through the designated platform at this link: – https://seychelles.govtas.com/. This can only be done after they have received their negative PCR test results. Additional information and instructions are available on the portal, including support to provide specific clarifications.
  • Upon check in, all travellers coming to Seychelles must show their approved test results to their respective airline companies for verification.
  • Visitors must comply with all airline protocols throughout their journey.
  • Visitors who have not been vaccinated and are from countries who are not on the permitted list of countries, but have stayed for at least 14 days in a permitted country, and have a negative PCR test within 72 hours before departure, will also be authorised entry into Seychelles. However, they must provide proof of their stay in the permitted country.
  • Booking vouchers reflecting the entire duration of stay in Seychelles must be presented at the Immigration counter for verification. Visitors without such a booking will be directed to another establishment that is certified.
